Responsible Gambling

Gambling involves financial risk. These tools and guidelines help you keep it within limits you set, and point you to free support if it becomes hard to control.

Understanding Gambling Risks

Every casino game and sports bet is built so that, over time, the operator keeps a share of the money staked. Short winning streaks happen, but no system, strategy or pattern can change the long-term odds. Treat any money you gamble as the price of entertainment, not as an investment.

A few habits help keep gambling in proportion:

  • Decide on a budget and a time limit before you start.
  • Never chase losses by betting more to win them back.
  • Do not gamble with money meant for rent, bills or food, or with borrowed money.
  • Avoid gambling when you are stressed, upset or have been drinking.
  • Take regular breaks and balance gambling with other activities.

Minimum Age

You must be at least 19 years old to open an account, or 18 if you live in Alberta, Manitoba or Québec. Where local law sets a higher age, the higher age applies. We verify age as part of identity checks, and accounts held by anyone under age are closed.

If children use your devices, keep your login details private and consider parental control software such as Net Nanny, Qustodio or the controls built into your operating system.

Recognizing Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can develop gradually. Ask yourself honestly whether any of these apply:

  • You spend more money or time gambling than you intended.
  • You gamble to escape worries, boredom or low mood.
  • You chase losses or feel you need to bet larger amounts.
  • You hide your gambling from family or friends, or feel guilty about it.
  • Gambling affects your work, studies, relationships or sleep.
  • You borrow money or sell things to gamble or to pay gambling debts.

If one or more of these sounds familiar, consider setting stricter limits, taking a break or speaking with one of the organizations listed below. Talking to someone early makes a real difference.

Deposit Limits

A deposit limit caps how much you can add to your account over a day, a week or a month. You choose the amount, and it applies to all payment methods combined. Once the limit is reached, further deposits are blocked until the period resets.

You can set or change limits in your account settings. A lower limit takes effect immediately. A higher limit, or removing a limit, only takes effect after a waiting period, giving you time to reconsider.

Loss Limits

A loss limit caps your net losses — stakes minus winnings — over a chosen period. When you reach it, you cannot place further bets or start new game rounds until the period ends, even if you still have a balance.

Loss limits cover both the casino and the sportsbook. As with deposit limits, reductions apply at once and increases are subject to a waiting period.

Session Limits

A session limit sets the maximum time you can stay logged in at once. When the time is up, you are logged out automatically and any game in progress is completed or saved according to its rules.

Session limits are useful if you tend to lose track of time. You can combine them with a daily time limit for a broader cap.

Reality Checks

A reality check is a reminder that appears at an interval you choose, for example every 30 or 60 minutes. It shows how long you have been playing and your net result for the session, and lets you continue, view your history or log out.

Reality checks are a simple way to pause and decide on purpose whether to keep going.

Cooling-Off Periods

If you want a short break, you can take a cooling-off period of 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or another available period shown in your settings. During this time you cannot log in to place bets or deposit, and you will not receive marketing messages from us.

A cooling-off period cannot be cancelled early. When it ends, your account reopens automatically. If you need a longer break, self-exclusion is the better option.

Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion closes your access to gambling on Zumospin for a fixed period or permanently. It is intended for people who feel they need a firm, longer-term break.

How to request it

Go to the responsible gambling section of your account settings and choose Self-Exclusion, or email support@zumospin.co from the address registered to your account. If you request it by email, we will confirm the period with you before applying it.

Exclusion periods

  • 6 months
  • 1 year
  • 5 years
  • Permanent

What changes during self-exclusion

  • You cannot log in, deposit, place bets or play games.
  • Any remaining withdrawable balance is returned to you, subject to verification.
  • We stop all marketing messages to you.
  • We take reasonable steps to stop you opening a new account, using your personal details.
  • The exclusion cannot be shortened or cancelled before it ends.

Contacting support

Our support team can answer questions about self-exclusion without trying to change your mind. When a fixed period ends, your account does not reopen automatically: you need to contact support@zumospin.co, and we may ask for a short waiting period before access is restored. You may also want to look into provincial self-exclusion programs and the support services listed below.

Account Closure

You can ask us to close your account at any time by contacting support@zumospin.co from your registered email address. Before closure, we will pay out any withdrawable balance once verification is complete.

If you are closing your account because of gambling concerns, please tell us so we can apply self-exclusion instead. A simple closure can be reversed, while self-exclusion gives you a fixed, protected break.

Support Organizations

These organizations offer free, confidential help to anyone affected by gambling, including family and friends. Many are available around the clock, and you do not need to be a Zumospin customer to contact them.
